a dose of goodness

Switch on the television, radio, or your computer monitor and you will probably come across bad news.  Negativity is everywhere it seems.  The overall picture presented is one of unhappy individuals, troubled governments, scary economics, and group conflicts.  It is easy to get swept up in the sadness, frustration, and hopelessness of it all.

But is it all really that bad?  The answer in short is “no.”

Check out the following resources for daily reminders that there is still plenty of good in the world:

(1) Good News Network: http://goodnewsnetwork.org/

From the website: The mission is to provide a “Daily Dose of News to Enthuse.” The Good News Network® is a clearinghouse for the gathering and dissemination of positive compelling news stories from around the globe. Daily stories will confirm what we already believe: good news itself is not in short supply; the advertising of it is.

(2) Happy News: http://www.happynews.com/

From the website: Their credo – We believe virtue, goodwill and heroism are hot news. That’s why we bring you up-to-the-minute news, geared to lift spirits and inspire lives. Add in a diverse team of Citizen Journalists reporting positive stories from around the world, and you’ve got one happy place for news.

(3) Good News Daily: http://goodnewsdaily.com/

From the website: Good News Daily is not Politically or Religiously connected or affiliated in any way.  Our belief system is simple.  The media portrays all news as bad when in fact many good things are happening around the world on a daily basis.  Good News Daily seeks to post good news stories from around the world whether it is todays news or a 50 year old story.

Remember: Good happens. 🙂
