#128. See Gipsy Kings live in concert.
Marking this off my bucket list was made that much sweeter because I shared the evening with my mother.
It has taken months of hard work for her to regain her health, so it was beyond wonderful to see her smile, laugh, and wiggle in her chair to the beats of the music.
Doctors told us she wouldn’t walk again, and well, didn’t we show them? She walked from the parking lot to the concert venue without a walker or wheelchair thank you very much.
Never underestimate the women in our family. 🙂
It drizzled a bit, but we didn’t mind at all.
Today’s inspirational art spark:
David LaFerriere draws on his children’s sandwich bags regularly. Check out this little video and post for more background: http://blog.flickr.net/2013/04/19/dad-illustrates-kids-sandwich-bags-with-imaginative-drawings/
Today’s sparky spark:
a) His microphone keeps floating?!
b) Go Grade 10 students – Meredith & Kendra – for their experiment!
c) Yay for the applause in the background!
Today’s musical spark:
Artists: Lulu and the Lampshades
If you click on the link above, you’ll learn that the song is a rendition of a 1937 one, which is pretty cool.
