question of the day

Does anyone know how cats tell time? It appears that the kitties have a particular morning schedule that I must abide by. Stage 1 is oldest cat meowing loudly for breakfast at the exact same time everyday. Stage 2 is a pat/paw to the face from the second cat if I miss the ten-minute window I apparently have been allotted to make my way from the bed to the kitchen. Hmmm…

You go girl!

7th Annual You Go Girl 5K Run

Started and ended at the Brewster Street Ice House on Saturday, October 6th, 2012 in Corpus Christi, Texas

Event Details: “The purpose of You Go Girl! is to create a positive and joyful experience that encourages more women to enter organized activities, get involved with a healthy training program at any level and to become aware of health issues that concern them.  This year the beneficiary is First Friday.  First Friday was created in 1994 by a small group of local women who came together to fight breast cancer in South Texas.  Proceeds from this events along with Christus Spohn Health System’s annual contributions, have underwritten thousands of screening mammograms for the women of South Texas.”

your turn

“Each morning when I awake, I experience again a supreme pleasure-that of being Salvador Dali.”

Salvador Dalí (Spanish painter, 1904-1989)

And now your turn…

“Each morning when I awake, I experience again a supreme pleasure-that of being [insert your name here].”

Did you say it with confidence and panache like Dalí would? If not, try again. 🙂
